The Works may have closed in 1980 but Consett did not. Here are some images of the proud legacy of the people and places of Consett.

  These restored wagons were from Derwenthaugh Cokeworks which was built on the site of Crowley Ironworks. That site was closed in 1986 and is now Derwenthaugh Park. Thanks to Rob Moran for the image.
