There are some great pieces of historical footage of Consett in operation available, as well as video of recent exploration of the site and the surrounding area. This includes the development of the current incarnation of Consett as a renewed and transformed town following the closure of the Works.

A good source is British Pathe who produced cinema reels for education, instruction, news and entertainment.

The footage has been split into three categories: general, including process and plant; transport, including the Tyne Dock to Consett and Stanhope and Tyne Railway lines; and finally Consett after the Works.
